In memoriam odaje počast Bernadetti Lafont i Miklósu Jancsóu, perom Ronalda Bergana.

Camera Lucida žali gubitak velikog glumca Philipa Seymour Hoffman.

"A film is a petrified fountain of thought."

"A true poet does not bother to be poetical. Nor does a nursery gardener scent his roses"

    Jean Cocteau

The new double 14-15 issue is even more internationalised, with all the texts bilingual (English and Serbo-Croat/Macedonian), in Lucid and Interviews sections. These linguistic demands from our readers have been met thanks to our team of translators. As Camera Lucida is evermore expanding, the new issue is enriched with new contributors, Dejan Trajkoski from Macedonia, Ion Indolean from Romania and Marko Jusič, as a new translator from Montenegro.

On 48 pages, you will read great Lucid regulars: Ronald Bergan's exquisitely illuminating Boxing in the Movies, Aleksandar Bečanović's poignant analysis of Hitchcock and the Girl, the second part of Igor Toholj's shot-by-shot analysis of Walter Murch's montage in The Conversation (with the English translation of the 1st part, published in issue 13-14), and Merima Omeragić's thought-provoking analysis of Budrus and its implications on non-violent social movement. In Homages & retrospectives, Ronald Bergan pays tribute to Jean Cocteau and Radoslav Stanišić revisits Forman's masterpiece One flew over the cuckoo's nest.

In the Interviews section, you will read magnificent bilingual interviews with Gianfranco Rosi, Mohsen Makhmalbafis – by Nevena Matović, and with Krzysztof Zanussi, by Dejan Trajkoski.

Mala educacion is particularly vibrant and eloquent this time, with an elaborate essay on The Legionary Movement in the Communist Film, by Ion Indolean, revealing analysis of Kaurismaki's The Match Factory Girl in Anita Erak's The Match Factory Girl ili postmoderna Mouchette, Luka Rakojević's Bloody Sunday, Bojana Mrvaljević's two reviews on Alain Resnais' films and the more recent Dictator in Indiferentnost i drugi; two academic theses explore the questions of 3D and cinema genre, Mirko Djurović's Produkcija 3D televizijskih programa – problem i dostignuća, and Sanja Jovanović's M.A. thesis, Undecover: A Hero in an Identity Crisis? Second parts of the theses will be published in the next Camera Lucida issue.

In memoriam pays tribute to Bernadette Lafont and Miklós Jancsó, by Ronald Bergan.

Camera Lucida deeply mourns the death of great actor Pihilip Seymour Hoffman.

    Enjoy no. 14-15.
